No one seems to mention them much now-a-days, but I have lots of tapes of radio and TV shows. So I own 5 tape machines, does anyone else still like cassettes as a source of entertainment?

Here's a quick pictoral of the cassette decks that I've owned at some time or other to best of my memory, though I think I've missed 1 or 4! Only the Denon 44 and 810 remain in my possesion. The Panny NVF70 is thrown in here as it was used as a stereo recorder, as was the fash back then. Actually very good indeed!

Wow! That looks like my old Technics deck, alive again, but I can't quite make out the model number. Man, I spent many hours making transfers of all my vinyl albums to TDK high-grade cassettes the SA and then the SA-X type II. Then hours more listening. I wonder if it is still in a box somewhere in the attic. That deck got me through college and my first job.

I owned a couple of different Nakamichi decks, but couldn't afford that one. The BX2 , IIRC , was one of them , and was capable of further improvement as it had many long circuit traces using numerous steel links, and adding a few extra power supply bypassing capacitors further improved channel separation etc. A friend did similar to his Nakamichi, which from memory was the one in the photo.

My Walkman D6C was great for its size. The Advent 201 was a piece of crap.
