Just tossing a 'q' out to the cognoscenti of fine wining and dining visiting this blog:
What cheese or cheeses would be recommended to accompany the sweet cherry Danish liqueur "Kjiafa"?

I would treat it the same way as a sweetish port i.e. any cheese you like really especially something Blue and creamy e.g. Dolcelatta

Yep, agree with the above. I'd widen that to pretty much any blue marbled cheese or a good medium to strong cheddar as long as they are not the dry type.
There is also a Swiss cheese that is commmonly paired with sweet wines and liquers but the name of it escapes me atthe moment...

I would treat it the same way as a sweetish port i.e. any cheese you like really especially something Blue and creamy e.g. Dolcelatta Italian for "sweet milk"...being half Italian, I'll definitely try it....molto bene...Ciao!

Or maybe you were thinking of the superb "laughing cow" cheese Chris? Goes great with red OR white wine..... it's especially good served on a ritz cracker and washed down with a nice glass of Blue Nun

You're just one classy geeza, Mike. If I really try I could force myself up to such dizzy heights with... Kraft Singles and Black Tower, maybe some frog spawn too

What a talented and dedicated bunch, they spend their day making cheese and then praise the glorious Gruyere in song..... that's what I call cheese making at its finest, massive respect due......

May I recommend a nice Helford blue? www.thecheeseshed.com/products/cheese/blue/item/helford-blue That will shift balance of the Kjiafa toward a clean palate IMO.

Many thanks...j "Gruyere" Thank you, cj...I'll stop in at this local Italian based store that has a plethora of cheeses for this and that occasion, and a knowledgeable cheese guy for info, too! They have a Scamorze, a type of Mozzarella that is to shred for...that I need more of...so a worthwhile shopping spree. j
