I am finally being forced into needing a new router to replace my old BT Voyager 2500v.
We live in an area of crap phone reception and curently run a Vodaphone Sure signal to provide a suitable signal.
The children want to stream music and videoson various touches and Kindles, my wife wants to use her ipad, blackberry, samsung and work laptop and I need to reluctantly replace my Nokia 6310i.
All of these need to run seemlessly and simultaneously in a large house.
I think I want dual band? ac? parental controls....
What do I actually need please?

I have had only good results from my BT Homehub 4 (now 5). My experience is mostly limited to both my wife and I watching iplayer on separate android tablets or I can stream hi-def audio while she watches TV via her tablet. Seems to cope well and our broadband typically tops out at only 8MB/s - when my sons visit then it has to cope with their phones / tablets too. Seems up to job.
How good a job does the Vodaphone gadget do? Our mobile signal here is bad.

Hi Derek
The sure signal works very well indeed. However I found out today that 3 now have an app that you can use through an ordinary WiFi link. EE or Orange also have / had a box but their customer service has been so dire in my experience that I will not use them.
