A while back, as I have 2 DACs , I needed another 1.5M 75 ohm Coax SPDIF cable , so I bought a $11.95 Concord 75 ohm "premium" coax cable with decent RCA plugs from Jaycar. Much to my surprise, the new cable sounded better, with greater depth of image and "blackness" where vocals faded right out.. This was totally unexpected as I had been using a similar length ,very nice section of white RG150 from a broken Telstra patch cable for 12mHz carrier systems. This cable was NOT faulty ! Does anyone have recommendations for a 75 ohm coax SPDIF cable that they are 100% sure sounds superior ?
Regards Alex
P.S. DIY would be even better.

Hi Chris Don't you find RG6 a little too thick for flexibility in short lengths ?
I have some Belden RG6 laying around here.
Regards Alex

No i dont mind, but i dont use lengths less than one (1) meter, i think it is manageable unless you want to stick your equipment right up against the wall.

Alex, not sure if this cable will sound better but I use it for all my TV and Satellite installations. it is cheap enough to try @ £2.54 a Metre. www.futureshop.co.uk/qed-pro-coaxial-aerial-cable-unterminated-custom-length-p-520.html#.Uj3sRj_X9EY
