There will be a slight delay in receiving things from me..... This week, so far, has been awful with a power cut yesterday and also one today (10am - 7pm!) I also have toothache and my car is in getting new brake pipes fitted.... it's snowing outside, my soldering iron blew up and my gas fire that I use in the workshop has run out of gas..... The delay will only be a few days but I thought I'd let those of you who are waiting for things know.
Mike.

Move south, get a new dentist and get a horse! I've got deer in the garden and the beggars keep grunting through the night. It's disgusting.

The sheep are very quiet at night, they all huddle together and have a good sleep.... poor buggers out in that weather. The pig over the road (Mama) grunts but only when you take her something to eat.... she runs over to say hello grunting.

Not to mention the blasted owls screeching out there. One's decided to move in to a tree by the house and if it continues, it's going to be an 'ex parrot'.... and not a Norwegian Blue. I have no cars here but the animals!!! In the distance, cows by day. Horses in a paddock. Deer in the garden. Owls in the trees. The odd buzzard comes down and shuts the blue tits up. Mayhem here!!

The pheasants up here are noisy in the summer.... they descend without warning, "shrieking", and crash land into a bush or something The cows can be really noisy bastards when they're having calves.... they sound like elephants honking..... the noisiest buggers are "humans" though, whether it be tractors, quad bikes, chain saws, cars, diggers.... you name it, they always make the worst noise. There's a house about 100 yards away from me..... the old lady (Isobel) put it up for sale and these new people have moved in, along with TWO Scotty dogs. My god, what a noise those little fekkers can make! They let the bloody things out to take a crap and they yelp and yelp and yelp for what seems like HOURS! I'm so used to having peace and quiet that I shout out "shut the F@CK up!" every time they bark..... quite embarrassing cause I was down at the shop yesterday and telling Ian (the shop keeper) about it..... he was like "oh, it's you?" Apparantly the "new" people are settling in well but they have a neighbour who keeps shouting "shut the f@ck up!" at the top of his voice LOL! Well.... excuse me.... if they were my OWN dogs I'd be telling them to "shut the f@ck up!" if they barked for hours on end..... In fact, I'd tell them to shut up if they barked for more than 30 seconds!! They can hear me shouting "shut the f@ck up!" but they are oblivious to the constant yapping of their fekkin' dogs? I'll take a walk over tomorrow and say hello to the dogs, say hello to the new people too...... I've been totally spoilt by peace and quiet and don't want to come across as some nutter who constantly shouts out "shut the f@ck up! at the top of his voice..... that's not a nice way to welcome new people to the area The toothache didn't help, the last thing you want to hear is a yapping Scotty dog going hell for leather at it when you've got "climb the wall" toothache..... natural alpha male instinct is to yell out "shut the F@CK up!". I'll show them what a good neighbour I am though, I'll offer to take the little bundles of fun for a walk along the cliffs......

Yep - I hear that every day of the week down here!! They'll think the Scottish sound English since they're Irish with Scottish dogs and might leave you doggy sausages.
