I understand from reviews that the T1 has quite a warm, rounded sound. Can anyone reccomend a valve that will sound sharper: less bass and more treble.
I know, I know! Why buy a valve amp if you don't want the typical sound characteristics. Because it's so damn pretty!

The NE5532 opamps are inherently warm sounding so any valve change is not going to bring about "less bass" or "more treble". The T1 (with stock valve) is not too bad, it's not overly warm..... I would maybe go along the lines of a JAN Philips 6922 (I can supply these).... the tonality will be less "thrummy" than the T1 with EH6922. Mike.

Thanks for the advice Mike. If/when I take the plunge, I'll contact you regarding the valve. Someone else reccomended the same one, and also the Siemens E88CC.
Incidentally - are you still supplying the T1?
