I am getting a Kevin Gilmore's Dynahi headphone amp built for me at the moment. Really looking forward to see if it is as good as people say. Should arrive in the next 2 weeks. I am going to post some pictures of the build, here is the first. Not so much a build at the moment but a few parts. Should get some more photos on Friday. Thanks to Trevor for taking the build on for me.

Looking good Kirk! I've ordered a couple of boards from the group buy at Head-Fi and will probably get round to building the dynahi next year some time, the boards are cheap but the parts are bloody expensive eh? Can't wait to see yours completed mate Mike.

Looking very good indeed Kirk, those heatsinks are gigantic but I suppose they need to be pretty meaty to dissipate all that heat What kind of enclosure will it be going into? Mike.

Build has come to a holt until after the new year. Post is as bad in every part of the world at Christmas, so parts have not been delivered. Here another photo just a small amount of work.

Kirk,
That looks like one very fine amp indeed and Trevor is doing a superb job building it by the look of it ;D
Is that a stepped attenuator I spy?
Mike.

Is that a stepped attenuator I spy? Mike. Sure is, Trevors had to wait for parts to get to him, but the built should be finshed by the end of the week. Then testing, then the wait for the post man and then ;D ;D ;D

Not long now hopefully sent out this Fri/Sat been a couple of problems with orders. Has been tested here is some info
Your amplifier has been fully tested, and has been burned in for ~3 days. The current internal temperature is ~42c with a ~29c ambient room temperature. Transistors, and opamps are operating well in spec, with a heatsink temperature of ~54c. DC offset for the amplifier is nominally within +/-4mV after 1 hour of operating time. I have decided to go for the more premium Neutrik XLR/Stereo locking combo output jacks typically seen on Headroom, and Meier amplifiers. These are -excellent- jacks, and assure the best electrical connection. All amplifiers have two of these jacks to support dual headphones.
Should get some more photos today or tomorrow

Looking good! I like the little touches - ventilation holes, serial number, etc. What material is the case made from? Looks like acrylic. If you don't mind me asking, how much has it cost you?
I would imagine you are looking forward to hearing it!

That's looking really nice indeed Kirk, I like the ventilation holes drilled in a "T" configuration (To denote TrevorNetwork no doubt?) Man that amp will keep you warm in the winter for sure So is she ready to be shipped over to the UK? Can't wait to hear your impressions of the sound quality, have fun! All the best. Mike.

I would imagine you are looking forward to hearing it! Not the cheapest of amps(but still value for money), cost me with postage the best part of £750. This is a maxed out version. The enclosure is piano-black plexi. Have asked Trevor for the full speck which I will post when I get it. If I would not of maxed it, would of cost £500. Trevor is a real cool guy to deal with.
