I'm sorry to ask such a stupid question but I struggling to find a simple guide on the types of capacitors and whether they must be fitted positive to positive etc.
I understand the negative 'band' but am I right to assume a "BP" capacitor is bi-polar and therefore can be fitted either way round.

22 new caps and 4 new op amps now fitted to my Cyrus One amp and its working !!. A bit more to go with it and I'll then post a picture.

Nice one! A recap is an easy service to do, and is pretty much required on older equipment. The electrolytic caps tend to deteriorate after, say, 15 years.
