There is plenty of info about the Musis, check here to see the 02 Dragon compared to the regular 02US and the 03US (scroll down a little to see table): hifiduino.wordpress.com/2011/12/28/musiland-dragon/Don't foregt there is a 03 Dragon too (newest of the 0x family): hifiduino.wordpress.com/2012/05/04/musiland-03us-dragon/AC inlet in the Musilands (02US and 02 Dragon) is only used to power the headphone amp and line circuits, the digital ones are power from USB Vbus. The 03 (regular and Dragon) are USB power only for the complete DAC.

Thanks for that Javier.
At the end of much reading I'm wondering how this ( 02 Dragon, closest in function and power ) might compare against the T1 from Aune.
Mike,
Do you think they would send one out for a tour of RGs lugs?

I can't comment on their "subjective" performance because I haven't listened to neither of them. I have a Musiland 02US but it is quite different to the Dragon, in fact it uses the same DAC as the T1.
From an objective POW each one has its strong and weak points.
The Musiland can do everything from 44.1 up to 32/384, has a very solid driver and a decent TPA6120 HPA but on the other hand it powers all its digital section from the USB bus and although there is a jack for an external PS, if used it will only power the analogue side (HP and Line out). The Dragon also provides SPDIF and Toslink outs so it can be used as USB->SPDIF adapter.
The T1 is limited to 44.1,48 and 96. It is based on PCM1793 which in certain areas performs better than the Dragon's 5120. It doesn't need drivers though the TE7022 can be a little fuzzy on some systems. It looks like all its PS is much better than the Musiland's and probably general build quality is better too. The T1, having a line in, can act as a stand alone HPA. For valve lovers it offers the fun of valve rolling.

Thanks Javier,
Pretty much what I found but I also have a real tid bit that puts things into context.
As a S/PDif converter the standard HiFace is said to be better than the Dragon, having heard that and being happier with what I have now, that pretty much takes the Dragon out of the running!
