I have a couple of threads over at headfi (search "proude pappa" in the lounge) that I would link if I were not boycotting the joint so you will have to beleive me when i tell you this is a continual thing when i say my son has again hit the honor rolls at school complete with the press clippings and the now becoming a habit letter from the mayor with congrats. I never in my wildest fantasy thought the little puke had it in him but obviously good breeding and good parenting have some rewards He goes to a state technical rather than generic "town" public high shool with his chosen skill being electronics which to be honest was a bolt out of the blue since he NEVER showed any interest around the home electronics bench. straight bullets across the board (aces or "A's for the less worldly ) in all things math or science so his future at least looks to be a secure one. and yeah,a seriously proud pappa though I will not go on and on and on and on and on like some do though I just had to share with SOME damn one before i burst with the good news ;D

Great news about your son Rick! What's his name? Rick Junior? He obviously learnt a lot from his dad who'se a very clever man you know I can tell you're proud of him and that must be an awesome feeling I wish I had a son I could "hone" into the Pink way but, alas, was too greedy and caught up in my own shit to spawn children. I envy you. All the best. Mike.

no,the boy has more sense than I did at that age by far. I was bounced from school at 15 when the principal told me to get off school property or go to jail for trespassing after I tossed a chair in his direction and he was serious because he knew i also was serious and the "miss" was pure luck on his part ;D

I must be watching too many American Films Rick, quite a lot of the sons are called "John Junior" or "Bill Junior" etc. etc. so, I thought you'd be "Rick Senior" and son would be "Rick Junior"?
As I say, way too much silly US stuff on the TV but I did think the "junior / senior" thing was pretty much common practice?
Mike.

for one he is the youngest of three sons so for accuracy would have to be Rick IV though many beleive one of me is one too many so likely not the best name to be stuck with otherwise "Jr" is a common practice for the few dads that actually stick around in my country

Yeah,
The image of seeing a legion of little Ricks is simply scary. ...
Wait ... What specie are you, Rick? If you belong to bactera species, you could be reproducing at exponentially explosive speed.

"Rickerious Superious Rex" Kinda like a warm blooded reptile on steroids with an actual brain pattern. That is the most deadly combination known to humankind : 1-Brawn 2-Brains 3-Not entirely sane 4-top of the food chain 5-born leader 6-not entirely sane.......................................... Humanity moves up a notch on the evolutionary scale in my offspring who have all of the above traits yet no matter how hard I tried over a very long time are ALL entirely sane..........................damn scary ! good thing I instilled "fear of dad" at a young age or my ass would be toast

Ay!
Please tell your cubs that I may be edible but very yuck-yuck. (Hey you might get Bird-Flu. You know I live in Asia.)
But seriously, it is nice to have your children follow ye steps, I heard that from my dad.
