Must be enough 'talent' in here to start a band.... I can offer vocals and a bit of blues harp. Who else is (virtually) up for it?
Derek

Alright - we'll put some Roger Whittaker in the set then. Oh, and 'Dock of the bay'. OK with you? Derek

Seriously Derek, it's a good idea but it would have to be a good song if I was going to be involved in the LEAD singing.... (I don't do backing vocals).... I reckon we could drum up a 25 piece band with me standing out in front on lead vocals... the vid would be me in FULL focus with the band kinda blurred / blended into the background. Yes, it's a great idea Derek No, seriously, it's a very good idea but how would we go about doing it? I'm happy to do backing vocals and a bit of Whittaker Whistling (I can whistle in stereo with my teeth out).... obviously Ian will be organ, you'll be on guitar, Chris can do drums, rowuk can blow his trumpet (as usual).... yeh let's do it! Rock and roll!!

Need a violin? Ian would be happy, we can play progrock with a violin. Although, it's been 15 years since i played But back then, i was a rather good player.

Would be good if we could - I wasn't serious... but we'd have to meet centrally somewhere.. Manchester? Find a venue - and all that traveling for a jam? Could all practice our parts before arrival - but never been in a band where that happened ROFL. Can we do it virtually? Anyone lay down percussion and bass tracks for others to add to? And it would all be so fabulous that only Barry D would be anywhere near competent enough to master it.. wouldn't allow anyone else near the 'project' D.

Sure, i got that. I wasn't serious either. I thought you were provoking to learn who was playing an instrument of some kind in real life.
Seriously, I did play the violin rather well and for some years also tried alt sax and piano with lesser success.
Ian can refrain from (serious) comments, but who else comes forth?

Ooh me, me, yes me!
When I have a cold I can whistle out of my eye while blowing my nose! It usually means the inside of my glasses get sprayed with tear-duct liquid first and then the duct starts to whistle.
I also whistle "normally" without the kissy-lips thang, fools peeps that one.
Nowt stranger than folk ;D

Nowt stranger than folk ;D Welcome aboard! Always need a good novelty turn. But we're short of players of real instruments... does my harmonica count? In my last band I was allowed solos on 'Key to the Highway' and 'Need your love So Bad'. Think I got away with the same riffs on both Derek

Can we put this song in the set then? I can handle the awkward vocal key changes. :-) 'Black Magic Woman; would have to follow. D. p.s. If we're name-dropping, I met the remaining two of the Batchelors once .. had a drink with them at the club where I worked behind the bar.

Now that was a long time ago.
For some reason, it reminds me of Charlie Drake and 'My Boomerang Won't Come Back.'

Jimmy Pursey obscure enough? ( Strangely I looked him up to check the spelling of his surname and just found out about him being on the police's potential molester record )
