Oh dear. The new album MDNA......
Very similar to the previous one, 'Hard Candy' which imo was awful. I keep listening to her new stuff in case she returns to something resembling 'Ray of Light' which is one of her better offerings.
'Hard Candy' is full of huge amounts of compression, poor songs (imo) and even over use of a sound compressor that whooses the sound up on low sounds and down on loud sounds, but it does it massively, so you actually hear the music going up and down on the bass drum beats. I can't see the point.
Not only are the songs piss poor on this new album, but the old whooshing effect is there again and to the poor songs she's added poor taste as well:-
Gang Bang I'm Addicted I Don't Give A I'm a Sinner I F*ucked Up
What is wrong with the woman? She's not a kid anymore. Maybe time to get out before she makes an old fool of herself.
Personally, I think it's better for some to retain their dignity and grow up.

A symbol helps explain why … $ ;D You sure it's not £? Yes, I don't understand it. She doesn't NEED the money. It's just getting worse as she gets older. I think there's a case for old rock/pop people to get out before it becomes degrading. There aren't that many who can keep going imo and retain their dignity. They become a shadow of what they were. I also don't like all the 'comebacks' that seem to happen quite regularly. To me, it's a backward step. I really don't like looking back 'cos you get no-where playing that game. In fact, it often puts many off groups that they previously liked imo.

Sorry to strike a negative note but I don't give a flying f**k what's happened to Madge. All that b****cks about her being one of the most powerful/influentialwomen on Earth - utter cobblers IMHO, and if it isn't the world has already gone to hell in a handcart. And, just to surprise you, I've never rated her as a singer or a sex symbol either so I won't/don't miss her as and when she hopefully finally fades from the scene - I'm a music lover and she don't qualify, he said, ducking behind the sofa . Madonna is/was one of those female choreograph singers who was followed by the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. As best I can tell, this genre grew out of choreography led mostly by Michael Jackson's influence. And given that Michael Jackson actually created music (for better or worse), it puts him in a far more influential position in "pop" music than anyone else I can think of. I think Michael, and these 3 female singers and a host of others, all represent the music "industry" as perfectly as one could imagine.

While her primary reason for making "music" is most likely cash, it's also very likely that she doesn't need anymore new cash. I guess she has got more than enough cash to live her life in the last few decades.
I've never liked her music, to be honest.
I guess her ego depends a lot on being a celebrity. Living private, without being a private person, would kill probably her ego.
Michael Jackson was also very controversial, but his music was certainly outstanding. Madonna is mostly know for being "Madonna" and not exactly for her music. Her excentric livestyle is somewhat comparable to other celebrities.
I can't understand why casting shows have become so popular. But often the ego of casting show participants and winners isn't too far away from that of Madonna and other celebrities.

Vanity Fair? This is taking all the attention from her ..................... Oh, no, not him again! Yeah, even Paul seemed not to get enough of her there at the Grammy 2012! But to be fair to Lady Gaga, based on American Idol std, she does have a very good voice. Surely better than Paul. Sample her again here: So she does have REAL talent after all! Not all just skin ................

They've been around for decades, remember Oportunity Knocks? Maybe not in Switzerland, but it was very big over here in the 60s and 70s. I think what's different is that now the "talent shows" are much more voyeuristic, there's more of the "Big Brother" reality show style to them. We now see the really bad acts and the tantrums and the contestant sobbing as they explain that their hamster needs an urgent operation and winning the talent show is the only possible solution for "Mr. Fluffy"; AAAAARGH, give me strength. Still my television does come with an off switch, which I use liberally.

Christina Aguilera had an exceptionally good voice, totally wasted in her pop efforts.

My excellent voice is wasted as a web site designer; maybe I should go on one of those talent contests. A medley of Jean Michel Jarre hits would best show off my vocal talents.

Cheap, made out of crap but still fantastic! I LOVE me-doner Aha - You've heard it as well, Chris. Mike - I didn't buy it. It was forced on me because of the 'so called' excellent synth sounds!! ;D Female singers don't generally do it for me anyway... I find them screechy and annoying... bad enough them "singing" but when they start trying to change the world enough is enough. I liked that "hey Mickey you're so fine" song (Toni Basil?) back in the day but only because my girlfriend (at that time) called me Mikee... I didn't "buy" the single cause it was shite but I did like it and could relate to it.... I can also relate to "don't you like me Mikey" and love it too.... hell, I would have even BOUGHT it if you'd slotted a guitar solo into it (and maybe a drummer and bassist)..... This "celebrity" pop makes me CRINGE (for starters), even more flesh crawling when they have a few "hits" and think they can change the world.... it's the "fans" who fuel these people so, at the end of the day, I find the "fans" a pretty shallow, uninteresting bunch of losers.... "Tom Cruise" says XYZ.... so fukk@n what? Madonna says ABC.... do I give a f@!k? NO!..... who are these people? More importantly, what type of people (who probably live in homes with wheels) give a toss what these people say? I'd rather have a heart attack than buy a George Foreman grill... what part of a fat, out of shape boxer and healthy "grilling machine" doesn't compute to the general public? Seemingly it's the way to go..... Out of shape bastard selling fitness machines to the masses..... They'll be selling water in bottles next... the traditional "place glass under tap and turn tap" will be replaced with 300ml plastic guinea pig feeder type devices and they will charge a quid a pop... believe me, it will happen! That Victorian water fountain (as found in every city) that used to provide fresh, clean, cool water to the masses for FREE will soon be replaced by plastic bottle filled with stale French water.... hold on! That's old news There are more important things to discuss than "Madonna"..... QUEEN "Victoria" (not Beckham) had a vision and one of them was public drinking fountains... FREE fountains... they worked, the water tasted GOOD.... why do we now need to pay for water if we feel thirsty? All the Victorian fountains are still there but the "councils" have cut off the flow of water to them.... possibly rerouted the flow to "Evian"..... It's an absolute DISGRACE and a sure fire sign that this country is going to hell under the governement of Madonna and Pepsi Cola.

Sinead Oconnor Lion and Cobra. Her only good album. Still, very different from those pop singers like Madonna.
Ever wonder why those female pop singers are so annoying? Because they are all controlled 100 percent by men who haven't a clue how to produce a female singer.
Now then, there's Kathleen Hanna. She is my god.

Madonna? I pay as much attention to her as I do to maintaining my wheely bin. And the wheely bin is sexier and can probably sing better?
