I'm impressed! Really another very unique sound newer limey band and I'm not someone easily impressed. How to describe the sound? Unfortunately, not every song is to my taste. If you are into psychedallic, this is it! I'm not sure whether has loudness war or not though.

Btw, the Metronomy album is still relatively ok but only maxed out. So still can buy for anyone that likes the songs there. For me, I like the songs.

I manage to look thru the cd booklet and the band is listed as:
1) Anna Prior - Drums 2) Gbenga Adelakan - Bass 3) Oscar Cash - Guitar, Saxophone 4) Joseph Mount - Vocal, Juno 60, guitar, drums
But looking thru the songs,
1) We Broke Free - Joseph Mount - Vocal, drums, guitar, Juno 60 Gabriel Stebbing - Bass
2) Everything Goes My Way - Oscar Cash - Guitar, Sax, Handclaps Roxanne Clifford - Vocal Joseph Mount - Drums, Percussion, Vocal, Handclaps Gabriel Stebbing - Bass, handclaps
3) The Look - Oscar Cash - Seil orchestra, handclaps Joseph Mount - Vocal, drums, percussion, guitar, Juno 60, Moog Gabriel Stebbing - Bass Ash Workman - Backing Vocal
and many changes to the line up for each song except the listed band members in a constant manner. In The Look video, we can see clearly Anna is the drummer and Gbenga is the bass, but yet in the album the drummer is credited as Joseph, obviously the leader of the band, and Gabriel Stebbing the bass.
Really, how can the band be listed as above when the members are not constantly credited for all the songs in the album? What's happening in the current music scene that we are not aware of? Ian, your take on this?
Btw, this album kicks guts with the subwoofers. Amongst the lowest bass you can get in modern pop.

Try Massive Attack: Mezzanine
Some of The Prodigy's tracks will give your woofers a bit of a work out as well.

Well recommended in the British Hifi mags too as a reference for testing the equipment. Prodigy I know the band but have not heard them under subwoofer system. Anyway, both Massive Attack and Prodigy are not my kind of music, fyi. Yeah, if you want a further recommendation. This will over satisfy to the limit as well. Surprisingly, this music is ok for me when I first try it and bought the CD althought it has some rap here and there. Try............. Guarantee, btw! But have loudness war there, damn it! If you don't want the loudness war, there may be some solace in the hirez dvd-a of the same album.

They're not my "everyday" listen either, but I have fairly broad tastes and have a few albums by both. I saw The Prodigy live at the Isle of White festival a few years ago and they were absolutely fantastic, together with the Foo Fighters they were the highlight for me.
