Sick and tired of adjusting the linkages to get a perfect hover without trimming? Here's what to do: Turn the antenna to Mode 2 position. Now, on the back of the transmitter you can see an extra button. (recessed where the Antenna in mode one fits / between the two screws) Press 3 times and you hear a beep. Now you're in sub trim mode. You can use the trim buttons on the front of the transmitter to correct the problem without the display showing the settings. When you're finished, press the button on the back again and you hear a beep and your settings are saved. She should now fly perfectly without having to adjust the trim on the receiver

That's a good find, Mike. I wonder if the Eflites do the same?
Does that mean that you still get equal amounts of trimming left and right?
It seems a better idea than turning the rods actually.

Yes! The sub trim basically takes the servos anywhere you want to go and the settings on the transmitter will be in the default position... you can still trim that way.

That's the way all transmitters should be set up imo. Big pita to play around with links and if it was done that way, dead easy to get a perfect trim, set and forget.
Two helis on the same transmitter is a different thing though since one wouldn't match the other, but at least one would be spot on and the other wouldn't be too far off.

It's flying perfectly now man... the position of the servos were way off the map when I first got it... they should both be dead centre to allow max travel in both directions... one of them was sitting at the bottom which means it would fly like turd.

Crikey, that was fast!! It really corners well, Mike. The MSR would tend to slide about a bit more than that. Rock solid response there. It turns ultra fast - really surprising.

Your first experience of the V2 was bad (like mine).... I can now understand why Sam is fixated with them.... they are bloody good when they are right

Mike, don't risk her in the post. I can always get a BNF and adjust it. It's good that you got it working properly.
The biggest weak point on them is the rear rotor, it seems. Didn't you have 2 go and mine was dodgy? It's funny how motor driven rear rotors can can cause so many problems.
Good to see you've got the first one sorted as well. They weren't very good about that were they?
What has Sam tweaked - the push rods? I also broke two of those blasted undercarriages. Unbelievably weak. Because they have the battery connection, they're not as cheap as Blades, which don't break as easily in any case. They don't like heavy landings!!
