Has anyone thought about insurance.
Obviously the micros are pretty safe but once you get up to the larger stuff insurance would seem like a sensible idea.
Apparently the British Model Flying Association membership includes third party insurance.
It's certainly something I would get if I really get into the hobby.

I think with big ones in public places, it might be necessary. However, I wouldn't go anywhere really public with one. Far too dangerous. It's not the heli I worry about, it's those blades striking someone, so I stay quite remote if I fly outside. The only person I'd hit is me and I can run bloody fast if a heli comes at me!!!! The Honey Bee made me almost start a 1 minute mile and a change of underwear. Ian
