I bought an MD80 mini DV video camera from 7dayshop a few weeks ago to attach to my motorcycle and my daughters kite. It's £10.99 plus a micro SD card. I got it and an 8GB card for about £18 At 50g it's light enough that it's usable on some larger helicopters, maybe the next size up from what you guys have now? www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_1&products_id=109557This is the video they use to show off what the camera is capable of. And here's one on a T-Rex 450 RC Heli

Thanks Ian. I really enjoyed that; especially the plane with the music on headphones. I plugged the HD25 into my computer, turned up and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I don't know if I could get something small enough for the mini helis but my 120 sr could well take one up since it's a foot long.

IYeah the plane one is an impressive video. It´s no wonder they link to it on 7dayshop. I think you should go for it Ian. I can see you spying on the neighbors with it lol.

A plane is probably more stable than a heli. They wobble all over the place and you spend all your flying time controlling it, slowing it down and getting it to be as smooth as possible, I quite like the idea of taking a run at it but can you imagine forgetting to turn and it just shoots away from you? OMG!!!! It's bad enough with the big heli I have. That is unbelievably fast and if you don't concentrate, it could be a mile away from you very quickly!!! Then panic sets in and you're not quite sure which way it's facing. It's HORRIBLE. I sent a little one up a long way stupidly and it was so tiny up there that I couldn't see which way it was going very easily. You'd be surprised where it ended up and I had to gingerly get it back home. It felt so slow at that point, but the battery kept going and I got it home. You're all right in your front room, but outdoor flying is a totally different ball game with air currents that you can't see. It can be quite a challenge. I'd quite like to try a camera just to see what the view is like up there. Ian
