Felices Fiestas y próspero año nuevo John!
I don't think they are on an update spree again, probably a little bug fix that went unnoticed.
Edit:
What I have found is that in neither of the last two versions the HDCD icon lights up when such material is played, also volume doesn't half so I assume they have broken it and it doesn't decode HDCD anymore which gets played as regular 16/44.1
Corrected the above because it is incorrect. It was my fault as I had moved the volume slider in Foobar without noticing and that is enough to lose the "bit perfectness" causing the Musiland to fail the HDCD code signaling detection. When I found out and moved the slider to max all went back to normal and HDCD playing great again.

Hi Sandr
Have you checked the fimrware version displayed in the control panel and verified it has changed? maybe the update didn't go well. Did you write down original version?

The firmware request lic file has to be generated with the new drivers installed. If you generated it while the old drivers were installed I'm afraid you will have to generate and send the lic file to Musiland again. Have you tried any itermediate drivers like the 1.0.12?

Yep, you can try to use Google translation or Google's Chrome browser to translate their forum and get an idea of what is going on though sometimes the translations don't make any sense.
It takes some time to get answer from activation email and some times you get no answer, I'm afraid you'll have to keep trying.

After a long while without official updates Musiland has released a new driver for the Monitor series. As always, no change log and probably just adds support for the new models (02 US Dragon, 03 USD, 03 US Dragon -not available yet- and the revised 01 USD). I've installed and played with it and found no visible changes from previous version. Direct link: www.musiland.com.cn/downloads/drivers/MlCyMon_2.3.0.0_build20120302.exe

There is a new beta drivers version available, I've been using it for 3 days and no problems whatsoever with it. As solid as any official one. Can be downloaded from here: www.musiland.com.cn/downloads/drivers/beta/MlCyMon_2.3.0.0_build20120413.exeI've been doing some comparisons between the 02 and the Xonar ST since the Musi 2.3.0.0 driver series came out. Truth is they sound so close to each other it is quite difficult to say which one is which in a blind test (under same conditions for both cards). Really impressive considering the Musiland costs nearly a third of the ST.

Don't know if anyone else is still using the 02 but anyway, new version 2.4 driver available from here: dl.musiland.cn/MlCyMon_2.4.0.0_build20120731.exeI have installed it without any problems. Changes/Fixes (according to Google translate): - support WIN8. - Concentrate on solving the authorized invalidity. - Settlement and a MD11 \ 30 the firmware MULINK digital signal compatibility issues

Damn! When will I ever learn to leave well alone?
New driver installed OK, but no sign of blue M in the system tray, even after reboot, and running 02 Control Panel from Start does nothing.
I have been here before...

Hi John
I'm running the latest 0806 and so far all perfect but then I'm running W7 and maybe there is some incompatibility with XP. Have you considered upgrading?

I'm on Vista. Managed to sort things out (as previously) by fiddling around in Device Manager. All AOK now.

Glad you managed to fix it, have you noticed any difference in SQ? Funny you mentioned holidays, it is when I'm away on holidays like now when my 02 gets most use. When I'm home I tend to use the Xonar ST nearly all the time.
My experience with Vista wasn't too good, it is really a resource hog and quite slow compared to W7. If you are not afraid and/or too lazy I'd suggest you give some serious thought to upgrading, it really is worth the effort.

I have 5 year old Dell Dimension C521, with an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (32 bit) CPU, 3GB RAM fitted and a 250GB HDD. It just isn't worth my while to spend the €100 on W7, never mind all the hassle.
