Right you can only pick one choice.
What's your favourite beer readily available to buy in the bottle?
Mine is Timothy Taylor's Landlord.
Well, currently anyway. I guess beer is a little bit like opamps after all.

You did say "readily available" if not ready available then I'd go with Nelsons blood bitter out of the Fox brewery in Norfolk.

Nelsons Blood (when available) IN the Lord Nelson Brewery in Sydney! If not on tap then the 'Admiral' although I always start with a lighter fruitier one. Can't remember the name though but nearly can reproduce the taste in my mind. Hmmmm.... Little Creatures from Perth or anything from the Ferral Brewery in the Swan River Area. Other: Arrogant Bastard or any specials from stonebrew.com in San Diego County. The freshest I had was a Lillikoy (or so...) Hefeweizen on Hawaii/Hawaii. But for the lack of all these in South Africa I just stay with the limited range of Belgium Beers. Here the Verboden Frucht (Vorbidden Fruit / Adam/Eve the apple thing...) is my favourite. In or around Municht I stay with Hefeweizen from Kuchlbaur or Unertl and in Austria with Murauer (lager), Stiegl and that 'Privat Pils' I can't remember the name. Dammit - it's been just a little over a year.....

Budweiser from the local gas (that's petrol for you lime eaters) station. There's this cute Russian girl working there that pays me absolutely no attention what-so-ever.

Maybe she doesn't like Bud, Sam. Possible. I'm going to make a run up to the gas station right now for a couple of 24oz'ers. I hope she's there. Wish me luck. I like La Fin Du Monde, too, but they don't carry the fru fru stuff at the gas station. It's got a cork and taste like Methuselah piss, but it's got a special kick that keeps me swilling it.

Right now any bottled beer would be welcome Liing on a campus for two weeks with no alcohol has been refreshing - but with home in sight I'm looking forward to a cold one ... my armchair ... hugs from wife and daughter ... and some sound son my hifi to chill to. Unfortnately the reality will be 10 hour flight - land at Heathrow .. take 2 hours to get to car park .. 1hr 40mins home .. straight to birthday party for 5 year olds ... get luke warm welcome from stressed wife and ambivalent child hyped on sugar. Instead of beer, it will be weak fruit cordial and some suasage roles! Hey .. but I will be home .. err ... nearly!

I've just changed my choice.
Fullers London Pride, bloody brilliant
<London Pride is a smooth and astonishingly complex beer with a distinctive malty base complemented by a rich balance of well-developed hop flavors from the Target, Challenger and Northdown varieties. London Pride is 4.1% alcohol by volume in cask (4.7% alcohol by volume for bottle and keg)
>
Especially chased with Courvoisier.
Oh Yes.

If it has to be out of the bottle: Veltins www.veltins.de/I generally do not drink too much beer at home so bottles are not much of an issue, and German beer on tap tastes universally great!

Quite partial to Leffe beer (although not sure how to pronounce it). Comes in Blond (light) and Brun (dark) varieties.
