A couple of links that may be of use to us in UK/Europe. www.modushop.biz/ecommerce/index_l2.phpAppears to be the whole HiFi 2000 range, including the galaxy range. Prices appear keen (dont know how they compare to the other italian site, whose name escapes me at the moment) Also, custom front panel etching. www.schaeffer-ag.de/en/news/home.htmlsite includes a link to their US counterparts and free software download to design the panel. An aluminium front panel to fit a hammond 165mm x 55mm front, with three recessed holes for knobs, switches and a bit of text would be €35ish. A bit of money, but if you've just built the most spanky HA imaginable, wait a few months, save a few quid and order some in to finsh it off to a level where the wife MAY be impressed with what you have built!

These guys are more 'local' (Thailand) for you, Alex, with some decent sizes as well. Again, I dont know how kosher these guys are, but I've seen a few builds using there cases, which look excellent. www.atiresearch-anodized.com/products.htmlI'll also reiterate to everyone that, despite my seeming fixation with the 'pretty' side of things, I reckon it should be sorted at the end, when the build meets your fullest expectations.

Couldn't agree more Wilbur. It's easy to fork out mega bucks on an enclosure and get it screen printed etc. but not so easy to actually find anything decent to stick inside it....... one of the reasons I house things in cheap enclosures first.... if they're dogs then they can remain in the el cheapo enclosure, nothing lost, if they turn out to be something special then it's time to start looking for some audio jewellrey to show it off

What I am after, is shown at the attached link. It has been in their catalogue for over a year, but never eventuated. Even some of Altronics staff members wanted one too! Anybody seen this elsewhere? It has big heatsinks along each side for amplifier modules to bolt onto. SandyK www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=item&id=H5050

insomniac They do look very impressive, but due to the weight of their big heatsinks, could be quite expensive to ship to Australia ? I will pass this link on to other interested friends, and see what their reaction is. Thanks SandyK

Robin The Altronics quantity prices were something like AU$165. We had organised to buy enough to get the special pricing. The prices from your link are just far too expensive, particularly when the huge shipping cost for such a weight is added. Nice range of cases ,though. Alex

apjaudio The range of cases should appeal to U.K. members. Unfortunately, by the time shipping costs are added , the larger cases with 2 heavy heatsinks would be far too expensive for most overseas members. SandyK
