Very very impressed with this band ... the Reminder Albumn is rather special with a wonderfully avant garde/ecelectic feel! I've had an MP3 for a whle and just bought the Vinyl from eil.com www.myspace.com/feist

Heard a single by Feist on Tery Wogan's show the other morning. Made a mental note to get the album. Borrowed the album from a friend but I found the sound quality to be a bit below par. Of course the single sounded OK on my DAB clock radio but the CD sounded poor on my proper HiFi. How do you find the sound?

It's well staged, has fantastic reproduction of the acoustic bass and overall it's above average if not the best. I would agree her voice can sometimes sound over processed (think there's over use of some vocal effects) and maybe this is being interpereted as distortion on your system - and may well be due to high compression production prevalent on a modern CDs. That all said ... you can forgive all that because the songwriting and arrangements are so darned good.

Yeah I guess it must have been just the CD then - sounded compressed to me.
