Any of you guys into Dub? I'm listening to a few of my old recordings and this stuff really is quite amazing through headphones! The likes of Burning Spear, Black Uhuru, Junior Delgade, The Viceroys, Ijahman, The upsetters.... all good stuff!

More into Electronic dub/Ambient dub/Trip hop than true dub. The Orb, Leftfield, Massive Attack, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation Probably a different kettle of fish altogether from the artists you mention Mike but no doubt evolved from or inspired by them. Just got a flashback to an Orb concert a few years back...ahhh..... Towers of Dub played live at an obscene volume..........Priceless /shuffles off Ozzy Osbourne style to fetch U.F.Orb CD

Like insomniac I'm more into electronic/ ambient stuff than true dub- my list of engaging artists includes: BT, Hybrid, Sphongle, Way out west, Unkle, LSG, Above and Beyond, Alex Gold, Chicane (for 'Far from the Maddenning crowds', Global communications, some of Roberto Milanis' stuff (read Robert Miles), plus a shed load of others but I'll shut up now as I can see you've all gone to sleep... But I suspect most of it has influences back with the pioneers of electronic music.

Yeah, based on the range of sounds found on UNKLEs' Psyence Fiction album DJ Shadow has a lot of talent. 'Unreal' was my favourite, nice heavy beat and some spaced out riffs, bang on!

Endtroducing and the 1st Unkle album Psyence Fiction are his best, I dont think he had much to do with Never Never Land the second Unkle Album which is still good but not as good. Not sure if either could be classed as Du though.
Get yourself some King Tubby.

No you're right, Never never land was James Lavelle and Richard File, good album though, the angry (in my opinion) Eye for an eye being my favourite! A good listen when I'm pissed off!

Yeah, I did buy it, it's all gone a bit in the metal direction. I didn't think it was bad but then I've hardly listened to it relative to the others so the proof is in the pudding I suppose.

I pulled out Spacetime Continuum - Sea Biscuit to try on my new headphones last night really good CD.
I will also be trying to find my Quarknosis CD with Optica and related bands on it. I always use that as my bass test.
These are 2 of my best electronic dub albums
