Ya, her 2 earlier LPs on audiophile Classic records are great stuffs. The latest 3rd LP also on Classic records, although good, is not as great as her first 2 albums song wise.

You wish !! The Norah Jones-Not Too Late deluxe album, has a DVD "The Making Of Norah Jones- Not Too Late." On this DVD are a couple of versions of several tracks, the commercial Music Video, and the original studio session. No prizes for guessing which sounds best ! They were recorded in 48KHZ 16 bit LPCM, but sound even better if you are able to convert the audio of the DVD to 48KHZ 24 bit, then marry the new audio to the original video, instead of the original 16bit audio. I think Leo likes this version too ? Allan doesn't exactly hate Norah Jones either ? Alex

Alex Actually no need since you already have the X-Dac V3 as that will be automatically upsampled to 192Khz 24 bits, if u used the SPDIF of your universal player, which will be better than 48KHz 24 bits. One conversion stage lesser here. I KISS you. Oh, I love Norah Jones but the French chic Zora is better.

XTRProf Do you really think I would go to all that trouble if it didn't sound better this way ? ;D I think it has something to do with the sampling rate and bit depth of the original master. I also made an upsampled music DVD, and 2 of the albums on it were Norah Jones albums. The album that was also available as a SACD, was I am told , sounding virtually identical to the SACD version! The other was clearly nowhere as good , and sounded only marginally better than the original CD.

Alex Well, KISS is all about that as long as one likes the sound although not on technical merits as can be seen here. Zen 1 Tech 0. Ya, in fact, the SACD version is from a redbook 44Khz 16 bits master. Here: www.stereophile.com/digitalsourcereviews/1104fifth/index.html
