I haven't heard any Jeff Beck in ages, to my shame, wasn't even aware he was still about. I must dig out the "Blow by Blow" LP. 'Freeway Jam' anyone?

I'd have to say my favorite Jeff Beck disc is "Wired". It was the first all instrumental album I ever owned. Good stuff.

Mingus's Goodbye Pork Pie Hat Head for Backstage Pass I've got a old Mobile Fidelity issue... it rocks!!! Blow by Blow is excellent as well One of the tunes he did was "Cause We've Ended as Lovers"

Wish I would of caught that airing on PBS, I'll have to keep an eye out for it. I did see the cd at Best Buy for $20, almost bought it.
Wired would have to be my favorite to. Well, that and his first album with Rod Stewart, love RS's scratchy voice belting out Old Man River while JB wails on the guitar. And of course Blow by Blow.
Guitar Shop came out in the late '80's i think. It has Terry Bozzio on drums, and Tony Hymas on keys. Tha's about the best I;ve heard so far of his later work. It shows his love of cars with names like Stand on It, Guitar Shop, Savoy and the hard pounding Big Block. I would have to rate it #2 along with Jeff Beck and Blow by Blow. Well worth checking out.
