I have all the studio recordings from
"In the Court of the Crimson King" 1969 (the first fully fledged prog rock album?)
through to "Three of A Perfect Pair" 1984?
Anybody have any stuff post this period & is it worth investigating?
I heard the "Islands" LP tonight & thought it sounded pretty good.
Cheers,
Nigel

In the Court of the Crimson King is one of my all time favorites, but I'm not familiar with anything else from them. If you had to recommend one after that, which would it be?

Cheers, Nigel Make sure to grab a copy of "Absent Lovers" ...last show of their 83(?) tour live in Montreal. Excellent SQ and Belew's vocal work is top notch

Belew is pretty nifty on the guitar too isn't he? I always thought it was Robert making all the wonderful noise as well.

Yes, I think I have this one. Is this the LP with 'Once In A Lifetime' on it?

Yes, I think I have this one. Is this the LP with 'Once In A Lifetime' on it? Yep, that's the one! Produced by Brian Eno Bernie Worrell (P-Funk keyboardist) also joins in on the effort! Though it's post-Eno, Roxy Music's "Avalon" is also a killer work
