Up for sale is my X-CAN V3, modded as recommended by Mike: all PSU caps replaced with Panasonic FCs; better quality output caps fitted and bypassed with mil-spec PIOs; ultra-fast diodes fitted; stock tubes replaced by the excellent 6H23P-EBs. There was some scorching to the PCB, but all early X-CAN V3 are prone to this. But the problem has been remedied by fitting heatsinks to the transistors. The old resistors have also been replaced. NOTE: The input caps have been removed as they degraded the sound. They are there to stop DC getting into the amp. If interested, please ensure that you have a source that does not produce large amounts of DC. Most modern CDs do not produce much DC. Here are some pics: It is in excellent condition - the only mark is a small scuff on the volume control. Comes complete with original box, manual, and walmart PSU (240v). Price: £120. Shipping within the UK only (£20).

Hi Glover1, tubes fitted are the excellent Soviet 6H23P-EBs made by Reflector. The amp is working perfectly - sounds great.

My current CD player is a Sony XB930-QS, which is a fixed pickup mechanism, with a very deep tray and a stabiliser. It's a model which came out in 1999. I have no idea at all about DC coming from the RCA outputs. Is there a simple way to check?

I suspect you'll need a multi-meter, Ben. But you could PM Pink Floyd and ask for his expert opinion.
