OK...(deep breath) put your money in and throw the dice. 99.9 % of the time I have received my boards. But this time I feel like I'm getting hosed. The boards were mailed out on july 20... And I haven't seen a thing. I PM the guy and in plain english, tell him I have NOT received my order. He PMs me back ASKING me if I have them yet!!! NO, goddamn it, I do not have them!!!! That is why I keep sending you a PM!!! You took my money, now send my stuff! Its a basic concept... Trade money for stuff. At least do something honorable like send replacement boards, or at the very least tell me to f**k off, so I won't keep pressing the issue....

What was the group buy for? A lot of these guys just ship the gear out via standard delivery to save on costs (make more from the group buy) and when an item gets lost it's pretty much a "did he send it?" from you and a "did he receive it but he's making out he didn't" from the other end.
Always best to pay for trackable shipping IMO.

that would be with a true group buy Mike, one that is actually according to the description. unfortunately the term "group buy" has been bastardized into "This is what I came up with and I want to sell it to you" type products from overnight sensations that have about as much know how as any other newb yet being able to work a PC CAD program will make boards, hype the project then try to turn a profit on a permamant basis : Perpetual "group" buys that are no more than permanant stores of a set product line attracting a steady flow of customers who may be a "group" but are hardly part of any quantity buy which can only be called such when the number is a SET AMOUNT ONE TIME ORDER Being below the radar of any true retailer/,manufacturer they also have zero rules binding their sales and can if they want in fact just close up shop once they have enough loot leaving all hanging or if they are in it for more play fast and loose on the honesty scale knowing you really do not have many options other than to wait and hope. for this reason I have always tried to direct DIYers to honorable established concerns when there is a choice even if the item costs a bit more.Knowing you have recourse for unsatisfactory transactions, actual humans you can talk to on a telephone, true product support PLUS the knowledge that the designer was not some hobbyist Turned "DIY 4 Profit" is to me personally worth the extra dollars. Also,I would rather support the person who actually spent the hours toiling at the bench designing a circuit than some knucklhead who copied the work and made pc boards. To me time is also money and a design takes time so should get compensated for over and above a bare pc board retail price and why it pisses ME off personally when I see examples all over the net of cheaters or bargain hunters always cutting out the actual designer for personal profit or personal gratification.Something that if it continues will see more and more "idea sharing" pulled from the net and something that has meant I never have and likely never will post even a picture of anything my own design. If parts purchased in quantity to either save end cost or meet a company minimum (what a group buy IS and always has been when honestly run),the monies paid and the product not in hand then yes,a legit beef if the wait for any explaining is over two months old yet still no more than "huh ? You didn't get it yet ?" Without at least an explanation by this late date my thought would be that I was ripped off and it would piss me off mightily.Enough to let folks know far and wide just how this person whoever it is deals with others.Yes items get lost in the mail (has happened to me several times actually,as the sender..... ) but the minimum of a dialog with the shipper is not too much to ask since they obviously have been already payed for services not received. Just my take.Good luck in the hunt though looks bleak from my side of the monitor

sorry I haven't responded . The group buy in question is causing alot of animosity on some other forums and I used this forum to vent. I agree completely with Rick, too bad I'm stuck with little to no recourse. the other buyers have all reported getting boards with the exception of myself and one other. its not like I don't have the nerve to speak up over there, but it really could just be a lost item. I would hate to show my ass and then the friggin boards show up.I will be hiding in the shadows and buying up spare boards, or going with more reputable sellers, in the future.
