Bloody hell! I only came across one of those chips I brought ages ago and forgot all about it, it was in my spares box. Tell you what, I'll draw a pcb out , try it and if it works I can try and etch you a board or maybe convert it to pdf and post on here so anybody can print it off and etch their own might just do a very basic no frills layout first with standard regulation then possibly try for something better or just keep it compact

Not heard of this one, the specs don't look too great, the GB is 18MHZ and the slew rate is only 22v u/S , good specs don't always promise for good sound though, maybe worth a shot if they are not expensive. I can't see the PSRR

Tell you what, I'll draw a pcb out , try it and if it works I can try and etch you a board That would be fantastic Leo, I'd appreciate that. Both the QED MB45 and the ERGO Amp1 use similar power amp chips and I have liked both of them. The Little QED MB45 has been pummeling my ears with beautiful sound for a few days now and not an opamp, valve or transistor in sight..... The ERGO chip outputs 3 watts, the QED chip 2 watts and the TPA6120A2 1.5 watts.... quite amazing really considering the size of the buggers.
