What ? you say you want more ? www.christopherrobinband.com/music/Track03.mp3I know,I know, all the woman want me and all the guys want to be me but life sucks and then you die. Can't all be born in the "Rick Zone" and even those few that are can't handle it when they get there and realise they are not up to it. Tough cross but I bear it better than the average human and that with a certain flair that comes natuaral

Edited, better modd now So the concert, synapsis : ARRRRRGH ! Ben to maybe 20,25 of the local "summer concert series on the green" events and I have to say this was the worst fkn audience response I have ever been witness to in my entire life ! First the crowd was not small, not tiny but microscopic, not a thing I expected having been to maybe 30 events at this site so I am thinking no publicity.Never before in my life have I witnessed twenty feet between groups of concert goers with those 'groups" being 2-5 in number Second,of those who DID show up 99.9% were out of their element. There because there was a "THERE" and not because they either were fans of the band,of the music style or audience participation type events. If there is one thing I know about such things it is you get what you give and the performers on stage give you the show you deserve.no energy from "out there" and you get "let's do this and get on the bus". I don't blame performers for this but any audience that does not get involved enough to breath life into the events. I enjoyed the music,my wife and my "crew" did also but we could only muster just so much energy being small in number and it was not enough to make up for the mostly geriatric crowd that shoed up.Looking around I was wondering if I wandered into the local garden club meeting instead of an all out assualt on the night time peace i was expecting. At least the next event will be for paying customers which tells me they WANT to be there, know the music, and appreciate the band's efforts or they would not plunk down the loot so i expect a way better time will be had. Know I know what Mike's rant on the last Jethro Tull concert he attended was about. All about the crowd and not who is on stage that determines the time had. BTW-Picked up the CD at the band's "tent" as my way of giving something back

Hell man the crowd make up 40% of any show (60% band / 40 crowd) without ambience / atmosphere the show will go down like a lead balloon irrespective of whether the musicianship is good or not. If you've got an arena full of stuffed shirts who are so tight they even feel embarrassed to "clap" then it doesn't matter what the band do.
This is one thing like about Status Quo shows.... you "know" the crowd are going to be alive and well up for it.. singing and dancing about, that's the way it should be!
You have fun at your next show Rick and let out a big "yeeeeeehaw!!" for me!
All the best.
Mike.

I am no shrinking violet Mikester so you can be sure i always do my part (and then some) to raise the energy level at any event I go to but man,I was ready to call the morgue and tell them I found that missing shipment of dead bodies for all the life this event had no matter what I tried, and try I did (almost to the point of wanting to grab people and shake them awake ;D ) My attitude is why bother ? If you are so damn bored or so empty of life why leave the house ? What is the fkn point of spreading your misery in public ? I have in rapid succession the above mentioned Guess Who locally, the it is possibly off to see Crosby, stills,Nash & Young (though the ride a bitch and the concert indoors ) followed by Steve Miller locally (the locally like a mile and a half away ) which is already into August then try and finish out the season with some others not yet on the radar screen since dates are always added last minute. That or just have a fkn blowout at my house and invite a bunch of local bar bands and the area MC club for my annual wedding anniversary party in Aug ! THAT will shake them up here and the only "dead from the neck up' will be from too much "fun in the sun" so their brains fried
