Hi everyone, Long time no speak, lifes been crap/interesting but I hope you are all doing well and healthy. I had a very sad email this morning regarding Alex Kethel, a guy who many of you will remember. I'll paste the email here, removing the mobile number. There doesn't seem to be an email to contact anyone, but at least we can remember Alex. The email - Hello, This is Alex’s friend Geoff Bickham & daughter-in-law Marjoerie. It is our sad duty to inform you that Alex passed away around 9pm last night (2nd April). He had been admitted to hospital early yesterday morning and pass away following complicated surgery. Please do not respond to this email. If you know of other friends of Alex, please pass on this information. If you wish contact his family Marjoerie’s mobile number is xxxxxx. Kind regards, Geoff & Marjoerie

Dear All,
Such very sad news. Alex was a leading light in so many of the projects and discussions here. AK-modded Class A amp, the Jaycar amp and the JLH Ripple Eater among others. A few happy times visiting, with Greg, Geoff and others - Berowra Waters for lunch and a few pub beers on occasion.
I hope you’re all well.
RIP Alex

I'll keep it short and sweet.
Alex contributed a hell of a lot to this forum (and then some!).
We parted company a few years back, the last time I spoke with him was in 2014, he felt he could no longer work with me. Good on him, he was a real man who stood fast on his principles and I respected his decision to leave this forum.
I am really upset to learn he passed away. Alex was a great mentor, with good values and morality, sometimes quite annoying but always level headed and consistently "right"...... he was like an "online" Father to me and always wanted to point me in the right direction and protect me from myself.
It's a real shame that we parted company and I didn't have the opportunity to say "thank you" to him.
Alex....... You are a star mate and I will never forget you.
See you on the Dark Side of The moon my friend.
Mike.

I had been in fairly constant contact with Alex, after he left RG. I have lost another friend & will miss our conversations on audio & sharing common health concerns. I also received a note from Grandson Daniel; informing me of the sad news. Alex's handle on several forums was Sandy K. I am now 84 & doing really well for my age; he kidingly referred to me as the ancient one.
You will be sorely missed old friend; RIP.
