Not sure what access non-UK residents will have to this but for us here in the UK take a look at this. No comentary, no music. Just "a two-hour, real-time canal boat journey down one of Britain's most historic waterways, the Kennet and Avon Canal, from Top Lock in Bath to the Dundas Aqueduct. Using an uninterrupted single shot, the film is a rich and absorbing antidote to the frenetic pace and white noise of modern life". The HD replay option is worth taking if your internet speed is up to it. Haven't listened on headphones yet but I bet it's gorgeous :-) I'm going to see if I have the relevant maps in my collection and maybe see if I can follow the route. regards, Derek bbc.in/1dLn80twww.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b05t7kc1/all-aboard-the-canal-trip

I can't see the video as the "Expat" service has gone USA only unless you cough up over the odds. I'm yet to find a good cheap/free alternative. Having holidayed on the Norfolk Broads and taken many a trip up and down the Basigstoke Canal your post brought some good, tranquil memories and of course there were plenty of pubs along the tow path!. As it ran at the bottom of my parents garden and next to my secondary school, in theory, I could have boated into school every day.
