by accuracy do you mean neutrality or flatness ? Anyway, i don't mind that - aslong as its not lacking in bass or midrange, i dont mind about treble because im not a big fan of harsh abd bright treble. I do however love a high resolution and detailed revealing sound that immerses you and makes you tap your feat away If the singer delivers that in more quantity than the CDP. I'll happily part money for the singer, or other amps.

I would buy the singer, but it would take a while at a guess, i want to be buying soon - im impatient But i'm willing to consider it. How much would it cost, how long would it take etc.. As I said in my previous post..... £200 shipped direct to the UK from the factory in China (I'll double check on this) Mine took about 5 days to arrive and was tracked all the way. The Voyager is cheaper (£20 cheaper) but surely you'd rather spend £20 more and get an amp that will blow your socks off with the HD-650? I disagree with Alex, if you've got the HD-650 no point throwing some crummy amp at them, you want to partner them with something half decent and something that will last for years.... if all you're looking for is a cheap amp in a plastic enclosure then there are tons of them on ebay at prices to suit every wallet. Ofcourse I'll do that. I need to arrange this with my dad though... im supposed to be waiting a month for the money, sod that. Does it come with the correct UK power and plug ?

I'll go and have a listen now and get back to you on this.

Will do, buy you previously said this Singer amp sounds better than the solo (which was top of my list) so you've basicly answered it for me I think i will end up getting the singer, if its okay with you. So, have you had a listen to a CDP head-out yet ? hows it compare with what i aforementioned.

PSP, high quality AAC. No way NEAR enough power for the HD650, even inear buds don't go 'loud'. SoundQ is very impressive however, (for a portable, ofcourse) edit: Wow ! 20 hours of 10minutes of pink noise to one minute of silence improved the SQ of the HD650's substantially

So, have you had a listen to a CDP head-out yet ? hows it compare with what i aforementioned. Remember my ears are a lot older than yours and what I think sounds good you may think sounds awful.... ears are as unique as fingerprints, we all have a different set no two pairs being the same. Am listening to the CDP head-out right now and it's actually not at all bad. I'd describe it as a slightly compressed rather warm kind of listen with pretty poor dynamics. Switch over to the amp and the soundstage opens up, there's air around the instruments, a more three dimensional quality to the performance and generally more "open" sounding. I could live with the CDP head-out but not for too long I'll have a word with the owner of Headtestament (the firm that produce the Singer) and see what the score is regarding price, availabilty, how long to deliver etc. I expect I'll be in touch with him tomorrow and I'll report back.

Thanks, and what CDP is this ? The CDP i just ordered is on the warm side of neutral, so maybe matched with a neutral amp will mean that its not entirely neutral - but detail and soundstage is handed out in bucket fulls

I'd agree with the advice not to rush into anything. Deciding on which amp to get is a lot of fun, try to hear a varied range of equipment. Don't be concerned about flavour of the month products & remember unless your source is top quality & very revealing, the sound quality differences between headphone amps won't be massive.
