Hi, Not sure if this is the right forum, but have ordered a Green Solo amp from Graham Slee for my HD580's and am looking forward to it's arrival. I have been trying to research cables to hook it up to my NAD C352 but most of the discussions found here have been well over my head. I can't afford boutique stuff but have seen Blue Jeans cables recommended, are these ok for the Solo or can anybody give me some idiot proof advice....... Many thanks, oldfogie

Many thanks, oldfogie Hi Oldfogie, Welcome to the Grotto As long as it's copper and terminated with decent plugs it'll be suitable. Unfortunately the market is full of boutique crap costing lots of money, if you can weild a soldering iron then roll your own..... copper is copper, I've never been the best person to give advice on interconnects.... I'm sure others will chip in with their favoured brand of sugar coated copper There are quite a few threads about rolling your own somewhere here... Sols CAT 5 twisted pair is the stuff I'm still using, it's as good as any, let me see if I can find the thread.

Thanks PinkFloyd, The soldering iron's not an option for me, is screening an issue? Also, should the plugs be gold plated too, thanks, Oldfogie Thanks for the link!

Those IC's made from cat5 are very good, I use them with most of my gear. Shame you can't offer something like these ready built up Mike for the guys who don't do diy, I like these cables better than the stranded stuff

No problems with that It was only an idea I guess it is a bit of a faff and most of the folks on here are into a bit of diy, I was trying to find some of that teflon coated cat5, you notice that the sleeve on the normal solid core stuff melts with the slightest bit of heat? I had to use wide head tweezers to hold the wire to stop it travelling and shrinking the sleeve
