All,
I know probably a well covered topic, but I can't find thge answer..
*Can a Chiarra take 637BP's (apparently gain must be 5x, I don't know if it is) *OPA627BP/AP, is there a diff in quality, can I buy either.
I'm having trouble tracking down 627BP's.. which I would like go for..
Thanks...

Thanks Mike,
If the 627AP is good I'll go for that as I've already bought a Browndog and I can source an AP, but I'll pick up a LM4562 to try. I'm currently using a OPA2107 which I like but have the urge to tinker!
Would you have any ideas how best to reduce the output on the Chiarra pre-outs, I use mine maily as a pre, and the volume doesn't go above 11 as output is very high?

OPA2107 my was my favourite before I discovered the 627 I don't have my chiarra any more sean, the construction manual has long since turned yellow and rotted.... I know I've got a schematic online somewhere I'll have a search for it. Offhand I don't know how you would reduce the output.

Yes, I prefer the LM4562 but we are not talking about a massive difference. The 627's are equally fine sounding.

I tried to track down opa627, earliest RS Components can supply is April, they suggested I use opa637, Mike suggested it's ok to use has anyone tried it on a Chiarra in comparison to the 627?
Any suggestions on where else I could try buying the opa627, and where I can get an LM4562? (Uk preferrably)
Thanks
