I imagine you either are a greedy "don't touch my stuff !" prick or have one screwed up family if amp locks are needed ........though,thinking about it, I DID know this guy with a fat son that resrted to putting a bicycle lock across the handles of the fridge so "chubbo" couldn't wipe out a weeks worth of groceries while everyone else slept..... First one up looking in the fridge for breakfast "someone needs to call the police then go grocery shopping,I think we been robbed !!!!!!!!" El Chubbo watching from the doorway " URrrrrp" Original speaker "Nevermind.Junior must have found the spare set of keys is all" The only "key lock switches" I have ever come across in real life outside of a catalog or pictures of Redgum amps is on critical control panels where curious fingers can be disastrous-boiler rooms, nuclear power plants (have a cousin in the industry and no hi name is NOT homer......DOH ! ,Building power mains, heavy factory equipment but never anything that did not have a chance at a meltdown or a chance of going BOOM So yeah, different but why ? Don't you think it would be a real pain in the ass to have to turn a key every time you turn the amp on or off and if by some strange mischance LOST the keys imagine calling the locksmith and saying "Yes,I said AMPLIFIER wise guy ! I don't CARE what you charge, just get your ass over here so I can listen to some damn music" **

Anyone seen my keys to the amp? Jesus that's all I would need I'm always misplacing keys A good, unique, gimmick but really no advantage in having a key to turn your amp on and off unless, as Rick says, you don't want other people using it. Does it make the same noise as the starter motor on a car when you turn the key? If not it would be a pretty damp squib..... like having a fag without a box of matches.

I can't see any point to having the key instead of a button and I doubt it makes a nice v8 grumble as it powers up but I'd never seen anything like it before and thought I'd share.

THEY DO ! ...why I use one for my "Home Theater Bypass" because fail to pay attention and bypass the volume controls ? BLAM !FULL VOLUME BABY !and that is enough to send the family cat whipping around the corner so fast he goes sideways before he gets enough traction to go forward...just like in the cartoons
