Hi,
Nice work, I am in the process of upgrading my XAS100's, the board is near identical to the A3.2cr, things are rearranged but it all looks the same.
were the original PSU caps 6800uf x 63v? has the 15000uf's brought any noticeable improvement? measuring the stock Jamicons I found a surprisingly low ESR of 0.01, I would like to add more capacitance.
what audio caps did you fit? did you keep the same voltage? did you keep the non polars non polar?
Is there any reason why you left the ceramics/polyesters in? I've heard that ceramics should be left alone in input bias. I've swapped them (this morning) for styrenes and sounds fine.
cheers,
Kev

Just caught up with this.. sorry for late response.
I didn't do the work myself - I paid an expert! (See my thread about John Sampson) So I don't understand why certain caps weren't changed although all (?) the eletrolytics were and I'm supposing these are more likely to age badly.
Yes, I believe the original psu caps were 6800uf and the change to 15000uf, I think, has tightened the bass delivery. No pice of hi-fi kit is perfect and the one area I felt the 3.2cr needed improving was slight 'looseness' to the bottom end. It's sorted now :-)

glad you found improvement in your old amp. yes the electrolytics do need swapped out every decade or so.
