Presently I am burning some comparison CDs with pairs of tracks that have identical check sums. After burning the CDs, I then rip them back to a HDD using E.A.C., to confirm that the MD5 checksums are the same as those of the source .wav files. Something to think about : The newly burned Kodak CD-Rs started out at around 1.3 times extraction speed. The newly burned MAM (Mitsui) CD-R Archive Gold 700MB gold inkjet CDs started out at 5 times extraction speed. This is with the same settings in E.A.C. Both types of CD-R have identical files on them. Which CD would YOU rather play on your CD/DVD player ? Alex
