Has been reviewed fairly extensively with most reports saying it is a tremendous bargain and that is the amp killer ! Put that same circuit in a serious chassis then jack up the price to the $500 range and it would be touted far and wide as a must have The opamp is a proven one if a bit dark sounding (meant in a good way) and having a discrete output stage validated over and over (plus a nice "trend" in recent amp offerings),the option of an improved power supply means that is actually an area where you have unlimited access to improving that area, opamps are socketed for easy changes (not always a good ideas but DIYers will do it anyway so why not ?),tidy package having a small footprint......... looks like a contender for the crown in the under $200 price arena even though not something i would buy

' Gets a pen out and reminds self "try and get hold of one of these cute amps" certainly does look "cute" doesn't it? Great for people who like cute looking things I suppose. I'm forming an opinion that almost everything these days looks cute but it seems the guts are very similar in a lot of these aesthetically pleasing to the eye amps. As Rick says, stick anything in a nice looking enclosure and stick a $$$$ price tag on it..... it'll probably shift faster than shit off a shovel. <lightbulb> £5 velleman super ear kit in a cute enclosure = £500 </lightbulb>

For just $170, plus another $100 for dedicated power supply in similar cute look, it is really a good bargain.
I like the idea of the opamp socket provided for personal changing.
I think there is still some potential to mod this baby.
