Hey guys I've recently sold my father's very old vintage Marantz CD-63B player to a gent in China.... I was about to pack it in the original box ready for transport when something caught my attention: In a small bag, there are a few old labels (I presume they belong to the player, as it's made in Holland) and two long philips screws: www.pzplay.com/daws/marantz/10.jpgI know that transport screws are common for tray loading mechs, and there are indeed two screw holes unused on the bottom of the CD player: www.pzplay.com/daws/marantz/9.jpgHowever, going finger tight they don't really fit that snugly and the screws themselves seem too long. I'm not sure what to do here as want to keep the transport/mech safe for it's journey but I don't want to drive a couple of screws in hard where they may not go... This is a rare player, so I can't find any literature online and we've not got the manual anymore. Any previous owners/marantz boffins care to advice?! Cheers Dawson

A little help here. I have no experience of this model but some needed to be stood a certain way before inserting the locking screws/keys. Like some of the older Denons had to be standing on their back! This is to make sure the actual moving parts are held correctly by suitably engaged screws/keys.

Thanks CJ. A guy over at wigwam has kindly posted a stock pic and they do fit in the extra holes in the bottom as I thought...
However, I'm glad I didn't try it last night as it turns out I am missing the washers than prevent over driving of the screws! Will nip down to the DIY store later and get some suitable.
