These albums seem to just creep in with no one really knowing too much, but Elbow released 'Dead in the Boot' at the end of August.
Not commercial pop of course but very interesting album.
Very highly textured. Sounds are taken rapidly in and out of the mix.

I really like Elbow. Guy Garvey writes some very powerful lyrics.
I haven't got the latest album yet but have everything up to the and including the seldom seen kid.
I'm glad they are still not quite mainstream pop but are still getting some well deserved attention. My other half doesn't like them but loves Garvey's BBC Olympics theme. Garvey refused to sing on the track saying it wasn't about his ego.
