Thanks Javier and Chris. I'm still on the list though I'm not surprised some people have disappeared, it was all out alignment the night I signed up, I could easily have wiped someone off accidentally,
I've a PM off so hopefully I'll get one.

Javier,
I have not been following the thread at diy. What's all this yellow and green highlighting there? What's the email address to acknowledge?
Yeah, btw, how to pay? Which Paypal account? Who has paid here? Please let me know as I don't want to miss this GB.
Thanks.

Send Amanero a PM with "GB1" as the subject (very important) and include in it you email address so he can send you the Paypal invoice, when you receive it, pay it and the go to the spreadsheet and modify it to look like mine.

I sent the PM late last night and the invoice was received and paid by 10 am so looking good. I'll have a go at updating the spreadsheet now.

Some one removed Will from the list but he hasn't rewritten his data so may be he has reconsidered and quit.

I don't think so for Will. DaveK too. Better PM them regarding this.
For me, already PM Amanero with GB1 as subject. Updated to green status for email. Thanks, Javier.

Ah, I saw Will is back on the list above Javier. DaveK too had reacted to the PM.

That board was available way before the Amanero and there are many reports about its good performace but it doesn't support DSD nor >192KHz sampling rates (not that I care much about that last part). Also clocks are limited to 22.xxx and 24.xxx which is a disadvantage to Buffalo owners who want to run sync up to 192KHz at 8x oversampling (45.xxx and 49.xxx are needed). The Manero also will provide sending commands over I2C bus which is great for accesing the DAC IC's registers giving access to otherway unavailable features like changing filter type or I2S/DSD input. ASIO drivers for the Amanero board are being developed too.

Apparently it does support 192khz I was concerned more about the 176k but the windows drivers have been updated. Also async too.
I was looking for the differences between the two Combo384 Module ATSAM3U1CA microcontroller
open source Atmel AT32UC3A3 microcontroller
Opensource does async 24 44k1 up to 192k windows driver too
Combo 24 44k1 up to 384k no async,

Where did you read the Combo doesn't work in async? I haven't been able to find any info on this other than it is UAC2 compliant.

I've sent a mail to Domenico asking about this, lets see if he answers.... though it'll really surprise me if it wasn't async.

From the horse's mouth:
-"il modulo funziona in modo isocrono asincrono"-
Translation: the module works in isonchronous asynchrounos mode (aka async mode)

Yep. ATM only WDM 32 and 64bit (Direct Sound & WASAPI) but ASIO should be available soon. Being UAC2 it needs no drivers under Linux or Mac OS 10.6 or later.

I've checked the driver files and they look 100% propietary. The .sys files are signed by Amanero Tech with his own Global Sign Certificate.

I didn't find any reference to Async or drivers on his site And there's no response to the question in the thread.
I was trying to compare the two implementations
Ps I'm no 67 on the list
