I have a Sunrise-II WITH auto tube select (sets the correct heater voltage by itself !) AND autobias (set's the bias by itself). It's a unique prototype. You can also set the output resistance on the front panel AND the on/off switch WITH on/off indicator is on the front. Also it can be used as a pre-amp as it has a realistic gain and output voltage ! rockgrotto.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=b&action=display&thread=7968&page=4 (post #78) a unique amplifier with on top of it all extra heatsinks !

Fantastic! I have some of these tubes from a Leak troughline stereo I have as a spare should my trusted go down.
Would they work in this amp? I'm not too familiar with tube specifications.
2xECF80, ECC88, ECC85, EF80, EM84, EZ80.
They are Mullard original 1960's

ECC88, ECC85: yes
ECC88 and ECC85 are double triodes
2xECF80 EF80, EM84, EZ80: no
EM84 is an indicator tube EZ80 is a full wave rectifier (double diode equivalent) EF80 is a pentode ECF80 is a triode and pentode in one tube

Great stuff that I shall be able to try 2 of them.
The fun starts soon!
Have you any good links you can recommend for a beginners guide to tube technology?
