Shame the V5i didn't work - not because I would say it would be better just for comparison.
Thanks for posting this. Particularly with some objective comments.

Thanks for reminding V5i-D as I just got DAC differential opamp(OPA2134 in stock) roll-able socket installed and currently testing OPA1692 + OPA2228 vs. LM4562 + OPA2228. Will try out V5i-D too in there + OPA2228 (though, as much as I know, V5i-D is said to be better for output stage). Atm I decided to stay with OPA2228 as HO opamp but maybe some other combination will also do wonders, will have to test more. Anyway... LM4562+OPA2228 sounds actually very good and "intense" but it gets very hot, so, can`t recommend it atm and will have to look into cause of heating problem.

Oscillation.... check it out Yeah, that what I was suspecting as soldering seems ok and one H-fier say that this "intense" sound may come from opamp running in "calss-A" with oscillation in mHz range. I think I won`t start to mess with "stabilizing" it as I currently find OPA1692IDR + OPA2228PA very good combo Will get new OPA2134UA chip also to compare to stock sound and do more proper&detailed comparison. Anyway, those who have T1 laying around without use and like tinkering, I recommend to try this out
