That may be so for your toy amplifier powered by batteries , but imagine a high powered Class D amplifier with all that 500kHz to 1mHZ broadband switching noise going back into the mains. Don't forget it is modulated at audio frequency too. For balanced and highly filtered?

So we analogue afficiandos are alway correct that a full analogue system is still better than a full digital system with all that ultrasonic crabs in the music after high filtering. TT anyone?

Chong To put that into some kind of context, see attached . Our builds in R.G. are likely to be even better S/N etc. Alex Attachments:

Loudness wars? Chris, I could quite easily shoot a few birds near me when they wake you up crowing in your lug at 2/3am.

Chong, I have quickly edited the Mockinjays - I can't say I like the black background so have done you one with and one without. When you are happy with the result let me know and I will take some time and edit it properly.

When you are happy with the result let me know and I will take some time and edit it properly. Wonderful, Chris Snr! That's it, the black background logo. Excellent jobby there! Hope you can put some more black area around the logo perimeter as now not much black space around the logo perimeter. Centre the logo in the black background after. Actually, with that colour scheme and pattern, it tells a good story of the HA. Black - HA black background with all that screening Red - Baptism of Fire musical bird hunt for musicality Blue - Sharp eye and army (SGT) precision for HA mode details Yellow - The glow of music and a 3D projection in front of a black background which I hope I can improve further thru implementing the output resistors selection later. All colours combined togather to give a very vivid and pleasant presentation.

Ok, the answer ................ Alright, going more technical investigation. Didn't I say so more this year 2012? So it's Sony bluray player vs Class T HA ultrasonic emission. Yeah ................

What more better to test this than using the MOST sensitive method thru an amplified analogue/digital antennna? As you can see, the Sony player is on at the top picture and the class D HA is off. The result ................ Tada .......................

Now Sony off and Class T HA on ............... Yeah, the class T HA is WITHOUT the earth wire connected but depending only on the floating ground for screen as can be seen from the photos. With the earth wire connected to it, it will be even better screening for sure ................. The result?

Tada ................... No need fanfare ............. Wow ! What an earthshattering discovery. Class D amplifiers have been used inside TVs for some years now because of their small footprint. The quality of Audio from inbuilt speakers doesn't need to be HiFi. The harmonics generated by Class D are way below TV transmission frequencies.

And you are originally saying class D will give crap sound from all the ultrasonic switching? Wyre for Sound class D amps technically are craply speced too and sound bad? You had heard it as you have friends having those amps.

Chong None of my friends have Class D amplifiers. We are all into DIY, and wouldn't touch Class D amplifiers with a barge pole. They all come from technical backgrounds too. I have heard a W4S DAC though. Alex

Chong, I have spent a couple of hours putting the final touches to your logo, hope you like it, if not let me know what needs altering. Did you know the Mockingjay is also the rebel leader of the revolution against the capital? So Chong are you going to lead a revolution and try to get everybody to change to balanced class D amps ;D ;D

I have spent a couple of hours putting the final touches to your logo, hope you like it, if not let me know what needs altering. This is it! (Michael Jackson) Excellent work there and no more alteration. Thanks very much for your tremendous effort hours of doing this for me. I appreciated that very much. Bravo! Did you know the Mockingjay is also the rebel leader of the revolution against the capital? So Chong are you going to lead a revolution and try to get everybody to change to balanced class D amps ;D ;D Heh, heh, heh ................, I'm not the revolutionary. The Class D amps are. If the objectivists that go by the numbers see those latest class D specs above, what more to say as they have to go by the figures, right? So far, the MF V2 still sounds Nicer and more Live to me overall than the Tripath. That's where the subjectivist views will always have the upper hand over the objectivists like in this case where numbers don't tell much until we listen ....................

Oh, those are in another class of class D. More like the W4S class D amps I mentioned above. The TA2024 is not in that class. It will give any puny Class A amp a KO in less than 60 seconds in the first round with those power and control.

I couldn't believe it when I saw this in the video shop, Chris! So obviously I snapped it up for completeness to your tremendous effort on the logo without knowing how the movie will turn out. Arghhh .............., I still haven't printed out the mockingjay to paste on the amp. Sorry, Chris, and a thousand apologies! Promise will do it tonight for all your efforts.
