Build a heli!!

I have a few friends who have old helis and crashed them so I took them off their hands for spares.
Instead of using them, I bought parts for them and reassembled them. In all cases, the boards were working. One had to have the power lead soldered back to the board. I connected a battery and just made sure that the boards were binding.
To look at them, you'd think, 'junk'. One had a broken frame.
So, I looked on heli sites for bits (all blade MSR's) and had them delivered, put on the old magnifying glass/light on head and glasses and got to work.
Result, I built two MSR's and they fly!! Lots of adjustments and fiddling with tiny screws. I'm just waiting for a new feathering shaft and blades for the second, but it flies 'cos I tried it with old blades.
The first CX3 that I put together gave me the confidence to do this and although the MSR's are fiddly and so tiny, I got there in the end and it's actually quite simple.
They don't fly the same but they do fly. One is a bit more of a wanderer but it's smooth while the other seems to hold back a bit more.
What a pity these things aren't sold as kits. The whole heli is totally replaceable because they're Blades and not too bad to do.
You also get quite a kick from the fact that it flies!!!
Now I'm wondering about one of those 450 kids like a 'Copter X'. This one doesn't have a nice canopy but it makes them a bit cheaper to get:

RTF version is £220.
