Hi Alex, have to admit, "WITHOUT SANDYK I'D NOT BE HERE TODAY", given that, Mike and "RG" has set it all up for a great many people to further their appreciation of many things "AUDIO" and participate in a community of like minded people all willing to give a little to the whole. Your grasp of Audio and Electronics and willingness to assist with it makes a big contribution to RG. So that said, can't see why you should ever feel inadequate.
NOW a rap on the old knuckles for you Sir.................. please note ....................... Pagan spells with two "LLs"................. DUMDUM....................the poor little bugger only has one. Kind Regards to you Sir, Alan

Hi Jeff, built a few fly fishing rods many moons ago myself. After whipping rings and tips on rods these small coils will be a doddle to you despite the, "OLD CODGER", from Sydney's remarks.
Two of those formers will cost you $1.70 25ml of epoxy can be had for $10 you wont even notice any out of that for two coils and you've still got your near full container for future use. If you feel that the old codger's got a point then consider this as an alternative.............. Nick the wife's nail varnish..........make it a colour she's tired of....................... nail varnish will bind the turns as will a little of that old varnish languishing in the shed. Regards, Alan

Hi Allan Every time you post something like that you make me feel even more inadequate! Kind Regards Alex Alex, Inadequate, you don't know what inadequate means - you should be in my position to know the real meaning of inadequate . But it would be a lot worse without the help of you guys, too many to mention, just about everybody, and that includes the now-lurker Frans . Thanks all. Dave.

I cheated and used a former, but with clear heat-shrink. I'll try the red and black shrink too, to see if there is any improvement in the sound...
