www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/MikroKopter?action=show&redirect=FrontPageI think this may have been posted before, but thought I'd post it up just in case. I came across this site a few years back, and was thoroughly intrigued by this little 'copter. One interesting thing they did was set up repeater stations for the tx'er, and fly it over several kilometers, using the on-board video for guidance. Technically clever, but also entertaining to watch the video as well. Can't see it now, but you might.

He's good. I can't believe the speed that it goes up. More like a rocket!! There are some miniature type cameras that you can attach to the skids of the heli which take shots from it and store the movie on a card. I was quite interested in this actually but from the videos I've seen, they are a bit unstable so the video can be a bit shaky. Just a bit of fun to see the heli perspective. Imagine if you had one like that, which is really stable - you could check the roof of your house by doing a flyover. Spy on the naked woman next door. See who's outside before they arrive. Damn, I might get one now!! That particular thing is built for stability. The army also use flying models to spy on the enemy. I just duck and dive on mine!! Ian

What is lovely here is that I live on the edge of the North Downs which is known as Pilgrims' Way. It's where all those dirty monks made up a load of rude stories about all kinds of deviant things. It leads to Canterbury Cathedral at the other end. However, if I could get a camera on the heli and send it out, it can see one helluva view. Planes landing at Gatwick airport in the distance, Reigate, Biggin Hill and at night it's lit up. I was thinking of taking up hang gliding and taking a leap, but I might not get home again either!!
