I've got some Russian 6n2p-ev somewhere, I'll look them out... they are an equivalent for the 6N2... not sure about the other one do a Google for it's equivalent.
The Fatman looks interesting, will have a closer look at it. My Mistral's are doing computer "desktop" duty at the moment and sounding very nice... at the moment it's Asus Xonar soundcard, optical out into Cambridge audio DacMagic, into Musical Paradise MP-302 to Mistrals.
The Musical Paradise MP-302 is not doing them any justice but it's not there to stay, just trying it out (after having it sitting in a cupboard for ages)....
The only thing I don't like about the Mistral speakers are the "mistral" badges... if we could get them off without ripping the paint off too they'd look even better... maybe apply some heat to them (with the drivers covered) and see if they'll budge.
Fantastic for the £99 we paid for them though... solid build, sweet midrange... ideal for desktops.

the 6E2 is the same as the Valvo EM87 and Russian 6HU6, it's just eye candy, aka Catseye and "magic eye", it's just a nice "level meter" that looks good in a room with dimmer lighting, like my dining room www.hifitubes.nl/catalog/valvo-em87-p-417.htmlthanks for looking out for some Russians for me Mike, the Fatman amp I have also needs the coupling caps upgraded according to my friend, then I'm good to go Mike, will you eventually get some sort of tube amp to patner your 307's, I thought you wanted the 307's originally for your bedroom listening !

if you can find a way to get the Mistal nameplates off that would be very nice, I imagine they will leave some marks on the gloss when removed, so we may need some very fine 2000 grit paper and a little paint, should be fun :-)

If there's a bit of sticky residue then either work it off with your finger or apply a mist of WD40 onto a piece of kitchen roll and that will disperse it.... look better already, will take photos tomorrow. Mike.

I have managed to buy 4 pairs of Mistral DT-307s speakers, I have sold 1 to a mate, have 2 earmarked for xmas pressies and 1 spare pair for sale, £145 is what I paid for them (which is from what I can make out close to the new cost for importing these babies to the UK) - just pm me if you want them and we can sort out best way to post, courier, deliver them anywhere in the world. www.theaudioworks.co.uk/?p=2you can also get them now for £215 from Audioworks as well, but mine will save you £70 quid :-) tech info here www.ads-worldwide.net/products/dt-307s.php
