3 cups amaranth mixed with quinoa in equal parts (boiled) 3 cups lentils (boiled) 2lbs grass fed beef or whatever meat you want (pan fried in coconut oil) then whatever vegetables you want maybe some eggs if you like them a good helping of coconut oil lots of curry powder, Orsa or Himalayan salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper
it tastes better hot than cold. but i'm lazy and like to keep the nutritional value high so i only eat it hot the first time.
this combined with fruits, unpasteurized cheese, and lots of cashews (1/3 to 1/2 lb a day) has gotten me down to 167lbs!
quinoa and amaranth are apparently types of grains that are less likely to cause weight gain that those like rice and wheat.

yup! at this rate i'll be in the 150's soon!
i don't really care for that mercola guy anymore, but you may want to try buying a book from him on nutritional typing. I've got native in me and i think that's why i get fat on grains. the most obese demographic in the US is some native tribe that i can't remember the name of.

2 bags of hay, 3 sheaves of grass and a bushel of corn... we are talking "HORSE" food here? As much as I would like to go down the "horse diet" route I must confess I am partial to the occasional burger

you realize that thing probably doesn't even have meat in it, right? You are incorrect. It contains good quality Aussie Beef without other types of meat additives.. Our food regulations are far more specific than most of the U.S.A.

you're a lucky bastard then. they try to pass off soybeans and chemicals as meat here. it reminds me of that scene where Winston is eating in the lunch hall.... but people are stupid enough to actually pay their hard earned money for this crap. it's rather shocking you know.

Be careful with coconut oil. If it gets too hot, you have the same issue as with french fries it develops toxins.
Extra virgin olive oil is still the best fry oil. You can get it hotter.

You also have to be careful with that extra virgin olive oil. It can also get too hot, at a lower temperature that veg. oil or my preferred sunflower oil which is also physically lighter. I have to admit I have not looked into the toxins side of things, but for high temp. wok frying the olive oil burns to soon leaving a bitter taste. For fried breakfasts I still use butter So it's fortunate I don't eat them with any frequency. Just found this ... hubpages.com/hub/Health_Benefits_of_Oil_Pulling_

i thought coconut oil was LESS likely than any other oil to develop those trans fats and that's one reason why it's recommended. huh.
and ghee may be very good for you. i don't know about the whole cooking butter thing. i know that pasteurization makes dairy unhealthy, but cooking doesn't involve the rapid cooling that pasteurization does.

Are you sure the "government" is not lying to you? Eat your heart out, you Yanks ! Juicy thick REAL beef patties from the famed Angus breed. YUM ! Yeh, that will have as much "real" Angus beef in it as lead free solder has lead in it! If you read the small print in these factory farming joints literature it goes something like "an Aberdeen Angus bull inseminated one of our cows so there is a possibilty there is a bit of "Angus" in the bloodline"..... Angus my arse! The cow that goes into MacDonalds burgers has probably been raised indoors in a "cow factory".... if you have ever tasted REAL Aberdeen Angus you will realise that the MacDonald's stuff is just factory farmed crap, like most of the American food is. One GREAT thing about living in the Highlands of Scotland is the availability of plenty of locally produced beef, lamb, pork etc..... the stuff they sell in the supermarkets is tasteless garbage, I always use the local butchers..... you can buy a steak pie and it is PACKED with prime, tender, melt in the mouth steak.... just PURE steak with about a teaspoon of gravy... they weigh about 1/2lb each and only cost £1.20! Get yourself a steak pie out of the supermarket and it is a pie filled with gravy and one or two pieces of "rubber" floating about in it! Hold on.... I have a steak pie in the fridge.... I'll go and take a picture of a TRUE Macdonald's pie!!!!

i don't think the old timers had access to artificial color, soy flour, flavor enhancers, thickeners, emulsifiers... etc... Of course not BUT nowadays these things have to be used to comply with food safety standards... a simple "steak pie" would be condemned as unfit for consumption by these idiots in white coats.... they all want a slice of the cake so your simple baker has got to incorporate their "additives" to comply with their "regulations". A simple steak pie without preservative would be deemed a health hazard according to these assholes.... this is another thing that has (unfortunately) stemmed from the USA.... the "no comeback" "freedom from blame" "warning, this may contain nuts" type thing..... Totally wrong feeding us with chemicals but better that than get hit with a "law suit" from some idiot who got a belly ache from eating a piece of steak that had gone off or some prick who had burnt his mouth drinking "HOT" coffee.... I am VERY old school when it comes to eating and REFUSE to eat any processed supermarket stuff..... I would rather eat a live lamb from the field than ingest all those E numbers and additives.... the thing is, the "live lamb in the field" has been pumped full of antibiotics and crap so even that little innocent thing is an E number on legs. There is no argument that we are living longer these days though.... back in the 70's you EXPECTED to die at 60 from a Connery (as Del Boy would say) and were oblivious to "saturated fats" and "E" numbers..... Bacon and egg for breakfast and rushed off in an ambulance for dinner.... All par for the course. There is a lot to be said against the modern diet and a lot to be said for it.... thing is, do we really WANT to live for 100 years in this pastuerised / processed / controlled environment? I would much rather eat bacon and egg and die at 50 than eat oats and live till 100 in a smoke free, politically correct police state.... Anyways Colt.... back to the pie thing..... it tastes very nice and is the best "commercial" pie I have ever eaten (and I have tried a lot from around the UK).... I would make one to my own recipe but would probably get a visit from the "Pie Gestapo"
