How does one upload pics here? Oh, yah- got my Panda build closed up this evening...... John Don't upload pictures into Rockgrotto server. Will load up the bandwidth of the server. Upload to one of those free picture sites like www.photobucket.com. After put tabs your Photobucket.com picture link here[/img] here at Rockgrotto. Hope this helps.

You can always attach a piccy! Just use the attachment box on the reply header. Go on, we like piccys

What 'Attachment Box in the reply header' ?
I see a lot of formatting commands, then Youtube Block Quote Hyperlink Insert Image -which should be 'Insert link to image' Insert Email Table etc
Where should I be looking? I understand the issue with bandwidth/traffic/storage, but I'm just not going to register at an online photo storage site. I don't mind using my own webspace for short-term storage of pics (for auction ads, for example) but that space changes from time to time. I don't want to contribute to the growing number of 'Picture not found' posts online, when forum sites don't archive their own pics. John

OK John, this should do it.. the row for "attachment" is circled and the "browse" command to find the file on your PC is in the square.

I could be wrong here, but I seem to remember that only moderators and admins can upload attachments. I certainly don't see that bar at all...

Only members of the ruling class get the 'Browse' bar..... Well, you have more rude smilies than other forums....one cannot expect everything! While I'm complaining-any chance of doing something to make the microscopic 'quote font' a little kinder for people without 54-inch computer monitors?? Thanks!! John

What does it sound like Jon? Sounds real fine, real fine...... (interested readers can paste a few paragraphs from Stereophile magazine in this space... to revel in the colour (black) lack of 'graininess', PRAT, speed, etc etc....) John

There seems to be a lack of Panda pictures on this page, so here's mine: One Panda in a Galaxy case, with a AlienDac feeding it music..

Just finished this and thought I ought to contribute, guess you have never seen a Panda Like this one? All crammed inside: Front: Back: Oh, and it serves as a great stand for headphones too! More pictures and ramblings about this project on my website ( www.mcfrede.dk).

I love it! I mean personally I prefer an all-metal case (easier to kill burglars with), but you definitely win the style factor. Great pictures and write-up too, much more professionalism than I could ever manage. How are you finding the Panda? I've been listening to mine for nearly eight months now and still lovin' it.

Really nice job, I love the case.
Also, I notice you have also built an M3, how does it compare to the Panda?

joethearachnidWell, I like it, it plays nice on my office setup though it replaced a mere cMoy (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with a cMoy, I love the simplicity and value-for-money and have built several). xerxesOoh, I am not quite sure I am qualified to be the judge of which sounds better, I like listening to music and I like building the damn things, the A/B comparison I am not so much into. The M^3 has been with me for some years now and still resides by my home computer feeding my Sennheiser HD600's. I did briefly exchange the M^3 with the Panda and I DID notice some difference, but since I just checked whether it could manage to get my feet rocking to the music I cannot give the specific details of the differences. I know Claus-DK is from Denmark too (and have reviewed a lot of gear), and I will happily allow him to come by and let me in on the techniques of A/B comparison and let him give his thoughts on the two.

There is really no voodoo about it same source fed to two amps, make them play at the same volume, switch back and fort between the amps and write your immediate thoughts down.. At least that is how I do it.. Probably wrong, but it works for me.
