musical fidelity A5 isolation oak cones

Hi, I bought 3 oak cone feet from russ andrews did i like hell i bought them instead from a guy on ebay who makes them to exact same specifications as russ Andrews for a fraction of the price. Anyway I wanted to try them on my A5 Cd player which claimed to improove the sound when i fitted them i found the sound was more spread out and spacial less in your face but then realised it was not so direct it was like putting my speakers further away from me so was it a improovement , not really waste of time, without giving up i tried something else i unscrewed the feet on my cd player and placed 2 in the front and one in the back,without screwing them but leaving them loose did this improove the sound by heck it now sounds superb I tried alternating back and forth a few times and it was not my imagination and the great thing is it did not cost anything i recommend anyone to try what i did i guess it would be worthwhile doing on any cd player report back.
